At Minute Wonder Ayurveda in San Ramon, an initial Ayurvedic consultation is $250 for 90 minutes and a follow-up is $125 for 60 minutes. New clients start with a free 15-minute phone call.

Ayurvedic consultation and therapy prices

What the consultation includes

The initial consultation is a 90-minute visit with Preeti. It includes:

• A detailed discussion of your health concerns and symptoms, and a review of your daily routine, diet, digestion, exercise and sleeping habits.

• A detailed health history, pulse analysis, skin examination and tongue diagnosis, used to understand your constitution and where it is out of balance.

• Recommendations for natural detoxification, a customized diet plan, herbal supplements, decoctions and oils, and self-care routines.

• Recommendations for preventive health care based on Ayurvedic principles.

Follow-up consultations are 60 minutes at $125. You can read the full new client process and what to prepare beforehand.

How much does Shirodhara cost?

Shirodhara is $150 for a 60-minute session. Warm oil, milk or buttermilk is poured in a continuous stream over the forehead and paired with a calming head and face massage. Preeti chooses the fluid for your constitution and current state of imbalance. See the Shirodhara page for who it suits and who should avoid it.

How much does Panchakarma cost?

Panchakarma programs are quoted after your consultation. The price depends on the number of therapy days and the therapies chosen for you, which is why there is no single list price. Programs run from a few days to two weeks of therapy, with preparation before and rest after.

The initial consultation is $250 for 90 minutes. Individual therapies are priced on their own, for example Shirodhara at $150 for 60 minutes and Abhyanga at $150 for 60 minutes or $200 for 90 minutes. The Panchakarma page explains how a program is built.

Does insurance cover it?

Currently, Minute Wonder does not accept health insurance. Payment for Ayurvedic consultations, treatments or products is made out of pocket or through a health savings account (HSA) or flexible spending account (FSA). We may be able to process health savings debit or credit cards, but we cannot guarantee that any insurance claim will be approved.

Why 90 minutes?

Because the first visit is where your whole plan is built. In the 90 minutes Preeti looks at your health concerns and symptoms, your daily routine, your diet and digestion, your exercise and your sleep, and examines your pulse, skin and tongue. You leave with a customized diet plan, self-care routines and recommendations for herbs and oils, and follow-up visits build on that plan.
